CARE THAT HELPS YOUR TEETH FEEL LIKE YOUR OWN.

Restorative Dentist in Windsor, CT

Thoughtful solutions for damaged, worn or missing teeth.

When a tooth needs more than a cleaning

A chipped edge, an old filling that no longer fits well, or a tooth that hurts when you chew can have different causes. Before discussing a restoration, the first question is what is happening to the tooth—and how much healthy structure can be preserved.

Fillings, crowns, and bridges do different jobs

A filling may be suitable for a smaller area of damage. A crown surrounds and protects more of the tooth when the structure is compromised. A bridge can replace certain missing teeth. The best option depends on the condition of the remaining teeth, your bite, and your goals.

We want the result to feel right, too

Color and appearance matter, but so do the everyday details: chewing comfortably, flossing around a restoration, and knowing how to care for it. We'll discuss those tradeoffs before treatment.

GOOD QUESTIONS

A few things you may be wondering

Does every cracked tooth need a crown?

No. The location and extent of a crack, symptoms, and the tooth's condition determine the possible treatments.

Can I get a crown in one visit?

For appropriate cases, our in-office CEREC system can make a same-day crown. See our same-day crowns page for details.
