A crown without the usual return visit—when appropriate
Traditional crown treatment often involves a temporary crown and a second appointment. With CEREC technology, we can design and fabricate a ceramic restoration in our office, allowing many suitable cases to be completed in one visit.
The digital process
After evaluating and preparing the tooth, the restoration is designed digitally and milled from ceramic. We then check its fit, appearance, and bite before placement. The exact appointment and treatment plan depend on the tooth.
Convenience shouldn't replace good judgment
Not every tooth is a candidate for same-day treatment. If a different material, procedure, or sequence would be more appropriate, that deserves a clear conversation rather than a promise that everything can be finished in one day.
GOOD QUESTIONS
A few things you may be wondering
Will I need a temporary crown?
For eligible same-day cases, a separate temporary crown may not be needed. More complex treatment can require another approach.
How long will the appointment take?
It is generally longer than a standard filling visit. Our team can discuss scheduling based on your particular case.
